Okra w/corn & tomatoes


I've never eaten much okra, but was bored and wanted to try something different. So I have no idea if this is what it should taste like, lol. But it was certainly edible.

4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 medium onion, chopped
1 10 oz. package frozen cut okra
1 can tomatoes w/green chilies
1 cup frozen corn
1 TBS fresh choppped cilantro or parsley
1 TBS olive oil (or bacon grease)
salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet over medium-high heat cook okra, bacon and onion in olive oil, stirring frequently. Cook until tender and slightly brown. Pour in the tomatoes, corn, salt, pepper, and parsley. Simmer for 20 minutes.
