Bread Pudding

I made PW Bread Pudding. I didn't follow the recipe exactly.
Here is the adjusted recipe:

2 eggs
2 TBS melted butter
1 1/2 TBS vanilla
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 to 5 cups french bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/3 cup chopped pecans

Arrange bread cubes in a glass pie plate. Mix together eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, & butter. Pour over bread cubes. Top with pecans. Bake at 325 degrees for about an hour.

PW serves hers with whiskey sauce. I made it with buttered rum sauce. It was a hit.

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup half & half or whole milk
1/4 cup Buttered Rum
Combine ingredients in a small pan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Pour over indivividual servings of bread pudding (in case not everyone likes it.)
