Peek-a-boo Egg

I was in a hurry this morning (or should I say the girls were.) Normally I would have browned it a little longer. But you get the idea.

1 egg
1 slice bread
butter or margarine
salt
pepper

Using a small glass, cut a hole out of the center of the bread. Butter both sides. Over medium heat, place both pieces of bread in a pan or skillet. Crack egg into the hole. When bread begins to brown, gently flip over. Cook to desired doneness. This was a favorite when my kids were small. The toasted circle can be used to dip in the egg.
