I miss summer! Fresh vegetables from the local farmers and herbs from the garden. Chargrilled steaks or marinated salmon smoked on wood planks. Colorado Sweet Corn slathered in butter.

I enjoy cooking and created this site mostly for my family. As my kids have gone off to college and moved away, I've received calls asking for recipes. I thought it would be great to have family favorite recipes, as well as new ones, easily accessible. Thus Recipes4me was born.

My daughter, Elisabeth, was diagnosed with Celiac on April 29th, 2009. Consequently, my goal is to cook gluten-free. If you are looking for a completely gluten-free website, this isn't it. I am in the process of labeling earlier recipes gluten free or not. I am reworking older recipes to see which ones are naturally or nearly gluten free or can be easily adjusted. Some can't be, so if it doesn't say gluten free, it probably isn't.

I hope to one day have some recipes to enrich & delight those who live with Celiac Disease.
